The wet polshing system is just very simple design (just for buyers who wants to do wet polishing and doesn't want to spend a lot on big variable speed wet polisher. The RPM of this simple polisher is 5000RPM. 5000RPM is especially designed for granite marble and concrete polishing. Buyers please remember that high speed grinder (like 7500 or 11000RPM grinder, are INAPPROPRIATE for polishing, since they will burn the polishing pad and make the pads very short life, and they will break the backer/pad holder, very dangerous). the hose connector diameter is 1/2" if you don't like or can't use the hose connector most hardware stores sell other fittings in the garden hose departments
