Carefully made by Ruland in Marlborough, MA, curved jaw couplings are comprised of two hubs pressed fit with an elastomer "spider" with the same OD. Curved jaw couplings are zero-backlash by design and are well-suited to servo applications where accuracy of torque transmission is required. Hub material is type 2024 T351 high strength aluminum with material class 12.9 M3 forged alloy steel socket head cap screws. Maximum is 8,000 RPM. RoHS and Reach compliant. Also called a curved jaw coupling, flexible jaw coupling, shaft coupling, or coupler.
- Ruland jaw couplings have a zero-backlash balanced design for reduced vibration at speeds up to 8,000 RPM.
- Users can combine clamp or set screw hub with inch, metric, keyed, or keyless bore for a high level of customization.
- Made from high strength 2024 aluminum for light weight and low inertia.
- Spiders available in three durometers allowing the user to match coupling performance to application requirements. Fail safe design with hubs interlocking if the spider fails.
- Hardware exceeds DIN 912 12.9 standards for maximum torque capabilities. Ruland jaw couplings are carefully made from select North American bar stock in our Marlborough, Massachusetts factory and are RoHS3 and REACH compliant
