This shirt jacket from REMI RELIEF is based on the mid-period B.D.U. jacket produced from around 1984 to 1995.
The material uses a military cotton back satin fabric that recreates the vintage feel by using intentionally uneven yarns for the weft. It has been specially processed.
The dyeing uses sulfur dyes, which were the mainstream in the 1960s. Unlike modern dyes, these single-color dyes create a natural fading effect.
The pattern has been updated for a modern fit by adjusting the length, width, and pocket balance from the original.
