RARE Antique 1864 Swedish New Testament Bible – Leather Bound, Stockholm

This is an original 1864 Swedish New Testament (Nya Testamentet), printed in Stockholm by Samuel Mumstedt for the Swedish Bible Society (Bibelsällskapet). A genuine 19th-century religious book, printed in traditional Gothic Swedish type.

The book is leather bound, with an embossed publisher seal on the cover. The binding remains intact and solid for its age. Page edges show original gilt, still visible though naturally aged. Interior pages are complete and legible, with expected foxing, age toning, and light staining consistent with a book over 160 years old.

There are handwritten notes/inscriptions on the front pages, indicating historical personal ownership. No missing pages noted. The leather cover shows surface wear, scuffing, and edge wear, but no modern repairs—this is an honest, untouched antique copy.
