The shape is designed to be easy to hold, with the widest part slightly closer to the tip than the center.
The wood is sanded with progressively finer sandpaper, up to 1000 grit. This creates a moderate sheen while still allowing you to feel the natural texture of the wood.
The surface is carefully cut and checked repeatedly to ensure there are no imperfections.
The finish uses Kinu Oil. The main ingredient is rice-derived, odorless, and gentle on the skin.

The heartwood is yellowish-brown and will darken to a dark brown color over time.
Its beautiful finish has made it a favorite for traditional crafts.
Ballpoint pen conversion available.
If converted to a ballpoint pen, the weight will increase by approximately 5g.
