Condition needs confirmation. 8x10 lens, Gasc & Charconnet, circa 1880?

Founded in Paris, France in the mid-1800s.
I believe the lens being offered is also from this manufacturer, which was known for producing high-performance Petzval lenses. This is a valuable lens with the manufacturer's name and serial number engraved on the brass exterior.
It seems this lens was manufactured around the time of the Meiji Restoration in Japan, so it's already at least 130 years old, making it a genuine antique lens.
I'd like to see how it photographs, but the lens itself seems to be for an 8x10 camera, and there are so few examples in existence that there are no sample images published online.
In modern times, someone with skillful hands might be able to create an adapter to mount it on a full-frame or large-format camera.
The condition isn't the best, but I hope it will be cherished by collectors.
