Yusuke Takahashi, the founder, was born in 1985. He graduated from the Bunka Fashion Graduate University in 2010. In the same year, he joined Miyake Design Studio, which operates ISSEY MIYAKE. In 2013, he became the designer for ISSEY MIYAKE MEN. He resigned in the spring/summer 2020 season.

In 2020, he established CFCL Co., Ltd. CFCL launched in the spring/summer 2021 season. In 2022, the flagship store "CFCL Omotesando" opened in Omotesando. In 2023, the brand's first fragrance, "EQUIP," was released.
